The phrase "treasures of the heart" comes from Nichiren Daishonin’s writing (Gosho) titled "The Three Kinds of Treasure". Nichiren states: "More valuable than treasures in a storehouse are the treasures of the body, and the treasures of the heart are the most valuable of all"
The heart is sacred. It is creative fire. It is holy, enlightened connection. It is our way to feel both our own feelings and the feelings of others. When we forget how to feel, we forget how to human. Things fall out of balance. We invite sickness, our ability to protect ourselves is debilitated. We are vulnerable to bullies of all kinds and all sorts of problems arise from a closed heart.
The ombre bands on the fingers represent rights of passage as do the bands on the heart. They represent a return to self, an increase of humanity. As the candle melts we get to deeper layers of the personal healing work.
The heart’s deepening coral glow, represents deepening ancestral protection and the strength to carry the responsibility of an open heart. An open heart can sense others’ pain while maintaining healthy boundaries.
The flames on the heart represent the opening of the heart of humanity spreading like wildfire. This candle is a multiverse healer. We need the world to be healed. We need to understand and feel for each other with good boundaries in a healthy way.
